IATA/ICAO Airport Lookup does not collect, sell, or share personal data.

What The Extension Does

The extension scans visible text on web pages for IATA and ICAO airport codes and displays airport reference information in a tooltip. It also allows the user to manually download refreshed airport datasets from the published GitHub Pages mirror of the OurAirports dataset.

Data The Extension Stores

The extension stores the following data locally in the browser:

• User settings chosen in the popup, such as whether tooltips are enabled and which data fields are shown.
• Dataset metadata, such as when airport reference files were last updated.
• Cached copies of the airport, runway, and country CSV files downloaded from the published GitHub Pages mirror of the OurAirports dataset when the user manually requests an update.

Data The Extension Does Not Collect

The extension does not collect or transmit:

• Personal information
• Authentication data
• Browsing history
• Web page content to any remote server
• Analytics or tracking data

Network Access

The extension only makes remote network requests when the user manually clicks the update button in the popup. Those requests are limited to downloading airport reference CSV files from https://davidmegginson.github.io/ourairports-data/.

Third-Party Data Source

Airport reference data is provided by OurAirports, created by David Megginson.
